Craig is a Chartered Building Surveyor with 25 years experience in commercial, residential, public and private sector practicing in England for 15 years prior to relocating to Scotland.
Past positions include being a former Director at Gibbon Lawson McKee Ltd (Edinburgh based firm of Chartered Building Surveyors and Architects) and Partner of Underwoods LLP (Northampton based multi-disciplinary commercial surveying practice) where he was head of Building Surveying in each firm. Prior to this Craig gained experience with Lambert Smith Hampton, the British Antarctic Survey and Boots the Chemist. Throughout his career, he has successfully delivered Project Management and Contract Administration services for property repair and refurbishment projects, including new build, for both commercial (office, retail and industrial sectors) and residential clients ranging in value up to £11m.
Craig is a RICS Certified Historic Building Professional and has worked upon some of Scotland’s finest listed properties including Bute House and Queen’s Gallery in Edinburgh, Torosay Castle on Mull and Thornton Castle, Laurencekirk.
Craig is a past Chair of the RICS Scottish Building Surveying Professional Board and member of the RICS Scotland Board. He also an active member of the RICS Scotland Dilapidations Forum Steering Group and Building Surveying Forum.
In 2014 Craig became an Incorporated Member of the Association of Project Safety and has since progressed to Certified Member status demonstrating his ability to assist Clients, Designers and Contractors with compliance with the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015.
